Reports

Reports provide a summary of operations. It can be general or as detailed as you want. The reports that come with the Sugar4 program are designed to give you a clear picture of the operations in your sugar plantation. These reports are grouped to give a view of the operations as a company, a farm, a specific field, an employee or an activity.

Reports most commonly needed by the farm manager have been grouped under the Main Menu option “Reports”. To get the report of choice, simply choose Reports from the main toolbar and select from the sub-menus.

Icons that can generate reports may also be found in individual forms whenever and wherever it is appropriate. For example, if you need a report regarding employee earnings, you get it from his or her records found in menu option Office/Personnel/Employees.

Another good source for quick information in SUGAR4 is to click on the yellow “smiley” icon on the main menu. This will bring up the Information Center.

The object of using a computer in farming is to spend less time on routine tasks and paperwork so that we can find more time on farming activities. This comes true only after effort is put into building a reliable database populated with accurate data that can yield the needed information when needed.

Company Reports

The “Company” sub-category from the “Reports” option of the Main Menu presents you a broad view of company operations. Sugar4 generates summaries of Labor Expenses, Production Costs, and Gross Income. Expense is drawn from all avaialable data entered. You may also compare expenses over different crop years.

Farm Reports

The reports produced when you select from the farm option will be taken from “settings” you made after login.
Reports for daily activities include the Manpower Complement and the Accomplishment Report. Expense is drawn from the direct expense to the fields plus the administrative overhead for the farm.

Field Reports

These reports provide you with details of activities for each field from the chosen farm after login. You can get a field listing and details of expenses for each field from here. Expense considered in reports for this category only invloves direct expenst to the fields. It is also possible to view all materials issued out to this field.

Shop Reports

Stay on top of activities in the motorpool through the Accomplishment Report and the Daily Manpower Complement.

Production Reports

The set of production reports included in Sugar4 will help make the work of monitoring production easy. You can quickly identify low output fields and poor performing varieties for your area. You may also generate a schedule of harvest to aid in planning; for example, making preparations that there will be enough cane cutters and trucks for the harvest to go smoothly. Another use is to time harvest and cane point requirement to coincide.
